On Friday 26th July, 22 Junior Girl Golfers descended on the beautiful Chesterfield Golf Club for their 2019 County Championship.
For the first time we ran not only the 18 hole Championship, but also a Division 2 18 hole stableford for players with handicaps 28-36, and a 9 hole stableford for players whose handicaps were over 36.
We were privileged to have Liz Robinson, Chesterfield GC Past President and Maggie Wylde, County Past President doing the starting on the first tee, seeing all the girls off with smiles on their faces.
The day was hot, but thankfully not as uncomfortable as the record breaking temperatures of the day before! Everyone had a fantastic afternoon of fun and golf, with there being some great scores along the way.
