Open to members who qualify as follows: handicap index maximum 9
The qualifications for playing in the Amateur Championship and County matches shall be by membership of an affiliated Golf Club in the County. Entrance fee : £30.00
In the event of a tie there will be a play off immediately at the end of play. It will be over a selected 3 holes and if still tied will become sudden death until a result is obtained. Champion will represent Derbyshire at Woodhall Spa in September.

The Union Shield Competition, 36 Holes Medal Play (Scratch). Entrance fee £15 per club
Best three scores from each Club. Winning Club to represent Derbyshire in the English Champion Club 21st/22nd September 2023 at Stanton on the Wolds GC

The best eight scores over two rounds qualify for the knockout match play Quarter Finals. These are to be played before the 18th August 2024 with the top 4 seeds having home advantage. The Semi Finals and Final will be played on the aforementioned date at Mickleover Golf Club.
