Match v Leicester and Rutland at Lingdale Golf club on 9 August 2021
The Derbyshire ladies set off bright and early tto travel to this match, but because of school holidays and minimal traffic we were all there exceptionally early, so had time for a bit of a coffee morning and a wander around the shop.
The match was played off scratch on a course in very good condition in pretty good weather.
All matches were played in good spirits with a competitive edge ending in a win for Derbyshire 41/2 :31/2
Leicester and Rutland retain the wooden spoon for another year.
Thanks to all the Derbyshire ladies who have turned out throughout the season, and in particular to Sharon Plant who woke up on 9th August with severe back pain, but valiantly turned out for the match, and I'm reliably informed played magnificently.
