Scratch League Matches vs Leicestershire and Lincolnshire

Monday 9th August 2021 at Willesley Park Golf Club

A good day for the Derbyshire girls coming away with a win in the AM but an unfortunate loss in the afternoon but still super proud of the girls and the amazing golf that was played! Firstly, Imogen I would like to wish you the best of luck with your future in the USA! Thank you for everything, you’ve been a massive part of this team and you will be greatly missed. In your final match for Derbyshire, you bought home 2 points in both the AM and PM with amazing 4&3 and 7&6 victories!! An unfortunate day for me, not bringing home any points for the team but the girls carried me and made me one very proud captain. In the morning Eva put up a great fight coming back from 1 down at the turn to an amazing 4&3 victory, another great round of golf in the PM coming back with a half point for Derbyshire with a half on 18. An amazing victory from Olivia in the AM of 4&3 with never being down and 4up thru the first 4 holes. However, an unfortunate loss in the PM but the smile on Liv’s face never disappears and an amazing team mate to compete alongside. I would like to say a massive well done to Jemima although not the result I’m sure she wanted but an amazing performance being her first ever scratch match for the Derbyshire scratch team, some fantastic golf played and many more matches to be played for us. A massive thank you to Eleanor for being there throughout the day to support us and keep us going.
