County 2^nd Team Report – Derbyshire v Staffordshire at Chevin

With a strong team in place, we were ready for our revenge match against Staffordshire.  The Staffs ladies came to play a practice round the previous day and were rather daunted at the climbs around Chevin!  So, the morning foursomes matches were very close resulting in Derbyshire ½ v Staffs 2 ½ - with some very long putts by the Staffs ladies, it was tough. 

To the singles matches – a great turn around by Derbyshire winning 4 matches very comfortably and so a very respectable half of 4 ½ v 4 ½ was made for the day.  Some amazing golf from our ladies and so pleased to see Pauline Bramley back playing with us and great to have Lindsey Shaw being part of the team.  Beth Griffin also back with us after a spell away.  Thanks to Debs Eaglefield, Lesley Watson, Fiona Roberts and Libby Harrison for competing today – some great golf. 

Our next match is at Market Drayton against Shropshire and we look forward to bringing home some more wins.
