The Yorkshire match was played in glorious weather on a beautifully manicured course. The day was marred only by the inordinate amount of time it took to calculate handicaps and allowances under WHS, as a result of which I failed to get the names of our opponents. The Captain and Vice Captain tried their best and maintained a pleasant demeanor throughout in spite of being soundly thrashed by a pair of superior players. The result was a 21/2 : 41/2 loss to Derbyshire. Well played Yorkshire we look forward to next year.
