The foursomes against S&H were tight with 4 of the 5 matches going to at least the 16th. Will Guggerty making his debut won his foursomes partnering Ollie Neal with Ben and Quinn winning theirs. Gavin & Tom Allen lost their final hole to have Derbyshire 3-2 down in the morning.

The singles were a little different, we had 3 players making their debut, not helped by S&H putting out their best players (with handicaps of +1) out last against Gabriel McGurk and Kian Moran. Both put up a valiant defence to take their opponents to the 14th Hole before succumbing. Quinn, Gavin & Ollie won their matches and Tom Allen halved his. The lack of recent match play experience for the team was showing in some of the decision-making at crucial points of the matches (particularly towards the end of the games) making the result look worse than the golf being played.
