The Ladies Seniors team played a match against Warwickshire at Oakridge Golf club in Nuneaton on Thursday 8th July. It was a glorious day if somewhat hot at times.
It started with a fair amount of excitement with ladies rushing to the tee clutching bacon sandwiches which had taken an inordinate amount of time to arrive.
At the same time a Warwickshire lady trapped her finger in a trolley and had to be cut free by the pro using a hacksaw!!
Playing on a course which none of us had seen before, with a number of exceptionally long blind holes we managed a valiant 31/2 points.
14 of the Warwickshire team had not played the course before, so kudos to them for achieving 41/2 points
Everyone was in good spirits for the 2 course meal which was enjoyed by all.
