This was our last match of the season played at Brocton Hall Golf Club. Having played Staffordshire at the same venue last year as 4 of the team had a good idea of the course, but not of the dry playing conditions attributed to the recent very hot weather.
We knew from the outset we would have a tough game on our hands if we were to beat the very strong Staffordshire team. After the morning foursomes we were 3-0 down and despite a couple of fairly close matches the mountain was too high to climb, gaining only one win in the afternoon from the ever dependable Lesley Watson.
